A leading and award-winning Bridging Finance Lender currently requires a Portfolio Manager too join its friendly and vibrant team, based in London

Job Title

Portfolio Manager

The loan Portfolio Manager is the main point of contact for borrowers after the property-backed loan commences.

This position will be supported by the Loan Monitoring Officer to ensure coverage of the 70 existing loans which is expected to grow to 100 within a year.

Portfolio Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of loans post-completion to achieve full return of principal and interest
  • Navigating loans in arrears, breaches of loan covenants and the receivership process
  • Communicating with stakeholders involved including borrowers, brokers, funders, receivers, solicitors, auctioneers and estate agents
  • Member of Credit Committee
  • Ensuring loans are compliant with contractual terms
  • Assist with collection of payments
  • Tracking loan performance and escalating early warning signs to management
  • Assisting borrowers with redemption strategy
  • Ensure adherence with compliance and credit policies
  • Issuing formal demand for payments, preparing letters of variation and calculating redemption statements
  • Monitoring and reporting of individual and companywide key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain accurate records in Excel and CRM system

Portfolio Manager Requirements

  • Experience with property loan servicing or management
  • Highly organised managing multiple loans and counterparties
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel
  • Ideally has experience using Creditsafe and understanding Equifax/Experian credit report

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30
