Senior Bridging Underwriter
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Benefits
A leading specialist property finance lender is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Bridging Underwriter to join its growing team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded underwriter with strong bridging finance experience to join a well-established lender offering a supportive culture, genuine career progression and flexible hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite bridging loan applications from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Assess borrower profiles, property security and overall transaction risk.
- Make lending decisions within mandate and provide recommendations on larger or more complex cases.
- Liaise with brokers, valuers, solicitors and internal stakeholders throughout the lending process.
- Manage a pipeline of cases while maintaining service levels and attention to detail.
- Support junior team members and contribute to process improvements where appropriate.
Requirements
- Proven experience underwriting bridging finance cases.
- Strong understanding of specialist property lending.
- Ability to assess and structure complex transactions.
- Commercial approach to lending decisions balanced with sound risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
