We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our Maintenance team at our Leyland production site.

This role provides safe, effective and right-first-time maintenance support across the Leyland site.

You will respond quickly to equipment failures, complete planned and preventative maintenance, and support the department's move from reactive maintenance towards a proactive, reliable and data-driven asset-care model.,

  • Respond to breakdowns safely and effectively, restoring equipment quickly and supporting professional equipment hand back.
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to a high standard, helping to prevent repeat failures and improve machine reliability.
  • Record accurate work-order history using the CMMS system, ensuring maintenance data is clear, complete and useful.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Production, Engineering and other departments while maintaining high standards in safety, food safety, quality and workmanship.
  • Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical and/or Mechanical Maintenance Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience, ideally within food manufacturing or an FMCG environment.
  • A systematic and analytical approach to problem solving, with good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and digital maintenance systems.
  • A positive, flexible and self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and a detail-conscious approach.
