Responsibilities
- Uphold high standards in Health and Safety, Food Safety, and GMP, to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment.
- Be part of a dedicated Engineering Maintenance team that plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all machinery in the production areas.
- Providing a proactive and reactive professional engineering service, to maintain and improve the performance of the plant.
- Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks,
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and correcting equipment issues,
- Assist with root cause analysis to promote future reliability and improvements.
- Proactive involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educated to HNC, (or HND or degree Level) or equivalent and apprenticeship time-served Engineer.
- At least 2 years of post-apprenticeship engineering maintenance experience β ideally served within an FMCG hygienic production environment.
- Technologically savvy to enable full use of the CMMS systems, MS Office etc.

This vacancy is for a permenant nights role working 12 hour-shifts on a 4-5-5 block pattern. The 4-5-5 cycle repeats every 8 weeks; 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off etc. This schedule provides an improvement on the traditional 4 on β 4 off pattern with 2 weekends off in every 4 weeks β and every weekend-off is a long weekend! This enhances your work-life balance and allows more quality time with family and friends, hobbies, and personal pursuits.
Compensation
- Salary range: The salary starts from Β£58,396.32 β Β£60,829.50 (Β£29.01 β Β£30.22 per hour). Starting salary is dependent upon qualifications, skills, and experience. Overtime is paid at x1.5 the hourly rate.
- 23.5 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays) which increases with service.
