Maintenance Technician – London

Dr. Oetker is a state‑of‑the‑art pizza production facility that produces Ristorante, Casa di Mama and Giuseppe pizzas. The facility uses highly automated, high‑volume production lines and is part of an international company headquartered in Germany.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical/electrical plant infrastructure and process equipment.
• Build, install, breakdown and maintain equipment as needed.
• Participate in the development of reliability strategies and preventative maintenance programs.
• Basic troubleshooting of the PLC system for automated custom‑built machines.
• Proactively participate in the HACCP food safety system, identifying and controlling hazards that may occur in the food production process.
• Consistently follow all Dr. Oetker Health & Safety and Food Safety & Security policies and procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Interprovincial licensed Millwright (433A) or Electrician (442A or 309D)
• Experience in mechanical maintenance/industrial electrician roles within food or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, maintaining the facility at optimum levels.
• Experience with PLC, robotic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems (preferred Siemens S7).
• Ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines, independently and in a team.
• Can handle heavy loads (up to 25 kg) and has good hand‑eye coordination.
• Can stand for long periods and work with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling.
• Must have own transportation (public transport not available).
• Not allowed to wear piercings, jewelry, nail polish, fake eyelashes or fake fingernails in the production area.
• Must be able to touch and work with pork, chicken, beef and dairy products.
• Can work rotating 12‑hour shifts on four‑week cycles.
