As our Social Media Executive, you’ll be part of the Creative & Editorial team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Head of Creative & Editorial. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.
As a Social Media Executive, you help shape how our brand lives in culture by creating social-first content that earns attention, feels native to each platform and is dripping with Docs distinctiveness. Working within the Creative & Editorial team, you are hands‑on from idea to delivery developing concepts, guiding small productions, self‑shooting, editing and helping content go live at the pace social platforms demand. This role is for a can‑do creative maker: someone curious about culture, communities and audience behaviours, who can spot an idea, capture it, shape it and help a global brand be part of the conversation from the ground up.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop social‑first creative ideas that connect brand storytelling with culture, communities and audience conversation across key platforms.
- Create engaging, platform‑native content from concept through to delivery, including self‑shooting, editing and content production for TikTok, Instagram and emerging channels.
- Identify and respond to cultural trends, audience behaviours and social opportunities, translating insights into relevant and impactful creative work.
- Establish scalable content formats, recurring series and storytelling approaches that build audience engagement and encourage repeat viewership.
- Collaborate with internal teams, creators, talent and external partners to deliver high‑quality content, using platform performance insights to continually optimise and improve creative output.
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- Proven experience creating engaging social content in‑house, agency‑side or as an independent creator, with a strong understanding of what drives performance across TikTok, Instagram and emerging platforms.
- Strong creative and technical skills, with the ability to develop original ideas and independently shoot, edit and deliver high‑quality content from concept to completion.
- Excellent storytelling instincts, with a strong grasp of pacing, visual composition and audience engagement, alongside a portfolio that demonstrates both creative thinking and content creation expertise.
- Deep interest in culture, trends and communities across areas such as fashion, music, art, sport and creativity, with the ability to spot emerging opportunities before they become mainstream.
