Position

Store Manager – London, Neal Street

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day retail operations, including staffing, training, sales, visual merchandising, key‑holding, administration, banking, and floor planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and security protocols and implement search procedures.
  • Monitor P&L and manage all controllable costs, including payroll.
  • Drive sales performance targets such as conversion, average transaction value (ATV), and units per transaction (UPT).
  • Implement high standards of customer service throughout the store.
  • Maintain appropriate stock management procedures, including stock takes, deliveries, and loss prevention.
  • Develop and lead the store team to achieve performance targets, manage inventory, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Build strong relationships and deliver results through effective teamwork.
  • Champion Dr. Martens culture, embody core values, and encourage others to do the same.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance support to the team.
  • Own personal development by seeking feedback and sharing best practice across the team and business.
  • Lead in diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I) and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Passion for Dr. Martens products.
  • Previous experience as a Store Manager, ideally within a fashion or lifestyle brand.
  • Demonstrated coaching, developing, and mentoring of retail teams.
  • Sales‑oriented mindset and ability to drive others to achieve store goals.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and literacy skills.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, cash management, and POS systems.
  • Resilience and quick problem‑solving under pressure.
