As our People Business Partner (Legal & Finance), you'll be part of the People team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Global Head of People Business Partnering (Support Functions). You'll be right at the heart of fast‐moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.
The People Business Partner for Legal & Finance is responsible for delivering the people agenda across global support functions (e.g., Finance & Legal), ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and functional strategies. This role partners with functional leaders to drive organisational performance, talent development, and employee engagement, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, optimising People processes, and fostering a culture that reflects Dr. Martens' values and supports consumer‐centric growth.
Core accountabilities:
- Translating global People strategy into actionable plans for enabling functions, acting as a strategic advisor on workforce planning, organisational design and talent priorities.
- Leading employee relations and compliance, managing complex cases, mitigating risk and ensuring adherence to employment laws and governance standards.
- Driving talent management and development, including succession planning, leadership capability building and partnership with Talent and L&D teams.
- Embedding performance management and engagement initiatives, using insights to strengthen accountability, retention and employee experience.
- Partnering with People Operations to ensure efficient service delivery while championing inclusion, culture and compliant, high-quality People practices.
Key skills & capabilities:
- Proven strategic People leader with the ability to shape and deliver People strategy across enabling functions.
- Strong business acumen, translating functional priorities into effective talent, organisation and workforce solutions.
- Expertise in talent and performance management, including succession planning, leadership development and capability building.
- Experienced in managing complex employee relations and organisational change, with a focus on risk mitigation and cultural transformation.
- Data-driven and influential stakeholder partner, committed to inclusive leadership and using People insights to inform decisions.
