Dr. Martens is more than a brand - it’s a global icon with over 60 years of attitude, heritage, and cultural impact. We’re a thriving, values‑driven business powered by diverse thinkers, bold doers, and people who bring their whole selves to work. If you’re ready to make your mark, you’re in the right place. At DM, our values guide everything we do: Be Yourself, Act Courageously, Show You Care. They’re not just words - they’re how we turn passion into progress.

As our Change Manager – Strategic Portfolio, you’ll be part of the Strategy team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into the Director of Strategic Portfolio. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.

The Strategic Portfolio – Change Manager plays a critical role in ensuring our most important strategic initiatives land effectively across the business. This role is responsible for shaping, planning and delivering clear, joined‑up change and communications approaches across a complex, multi‑year portfolio of transformation.

Working closely with programme and project leads, functional teams and senior sponsors, the role ensures that people, process and ways‑of‑working impacts are understood, planned for and addressed — and that stakeholders at all levels have the clarity, context and confidence they need as change is delivered. This includes translating strategy and delivery plans into coherent change journeys, aligning messaging across initiatives, and supporting leaders to role‑model and embed change.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who can operate across strategy and execution: comfortable working with ambiguity, able to cut through complexity, and focused on practical adoption and measurable outcomes rather than activity for activity’s sake.

Core Accountabilities

  • Leading change management for strategic initiatives, particularly digital marketing programmes impacting people, process and technology.
  • Applying structured change methodologies and tools to support large‑scale organisational transformation.
  • Developing and delivering clear communication and engagement plans, influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive adoption.
  • Managing change in ambiguous environments, identifying risks, solving problems and ensuring effective planning and delivery.
  • Partnering across the business to embed change, leveraging strong commercial awareness, project lifecycle knowledge and collaborative ways of working.

Key Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong relationship‑building skills, with experience communicating effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Experienced in conflict resolution, acting as a mediator to navigate challenges and drive outcomes in the best interests of the business.
  • Proven subject matter expert, leading cross‑functional networks to deliver aligned project outcomes.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, able to analyse project information and identify key risks and issues.
  • Skilled in managing differing stakeholder perspectives, driving alignment and resolution to maintain project health.
