As our Branch Planning & Allocation Assistant, you’ll be part of the Product Planning & Allocation team, working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Branch Allocation Manager. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers — today and tomorrow.
This role plays a pivotal part in driving our consumer centric strategy. Everything you do will help elevate the DM experience — whether you’re enabling teams, improving processes, influencing decision making, or crafting moments that matter for our consumers around the globe. The Branch Planning Assistant supports the delivery of profitable growth across retail branches by managing stock flow, allocations, and in‑season trading actions. This role ensures stores maintain full‑price capacities and assortments aligned with consumer needs and global frameworks. It plays a key role in supporting new store openings, analysing performance, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to optimise availability and sell‑through. You’ll help us push boundaries, raise the bar, and keep the spirit of DM alive in everything we deliver.
Core Accountabilities
- Stock Flow Management: Monitor and manage stock flow in and out of stores to maintain full‑price capacities and availability.
- Seasonal Planning Support: Assist in assortment planning for assigned regions; support tiering, grading, and IAQ setup at season start.
- Trading Analysis: Create and analyse store reports to identify trends and customer needs; recommend actions to improve performance.
- Allocation & Replenishment: Execute in‑season allocations and manage stock cover to optimise availability across branches.
Key Skills & Capabilities
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret trading data and produce actionable insights.
- Experience: Previous experience in an allocation role or as Assistant Branch Merchandiser.
- Commercial Awareness: Understanding of merchandising KPIs and their impact on profitability.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong knowledge of key functions (lookups, conditional sums) for reporting and analysis.
- Communication: Confident in building relationships across multiple business functions and presenting in meetings.
