As our B2B Marketplace Lead, you’ll be part of the Head of Mainline Marketplace working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into X. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.

The B2B Marketplace Lead shapes and executes the wholesale (B2B) Marketplace strategy to ensure Dr. Martens presents a premium, consistent, consumer‑centric experience across multi‑brand, distributor and partner environments. This role acts as the connective tissue between Brand, Product, Merchandising, Global Marketplace, Markets and 3rd‑Party Partners to translate global direction into commercially robust, market‑right wholesale plans. The role ensures that assortment, distribution, pricing and storytelling across wholesale partners reinforce the brand, accelerate profitable growth, broaden the consumer base, and drive value capture through a refined global–local model.

Core Accountabilities

  • Marketplace Strategy & Distribution Governance: Lead global wholesale distribution strategy, defining clear segmentation, tiering and guardrails to protect premium, consumer‑right availability.
  • Assortment & Sell‑In Leadership: Own sell‑in narratives, seasonal storytelling and assortment direction, with clear guidance on depth, hero/protect lists and Marketplace differentiation.
  • Performance & Trading Management: Track B2B Marketplace performance, enforce pricing and promotional guardrails, and drive corrective actions to protect margin and brand equity.
  • Global–Local Collaboration: Act as the bridge between global teams and local sales, integrating market and partner insight into commercially sound wholesale execution.
  • GTM & Operating Model Excellence: Champion standardised, insight‑led GTM processes, ensuring aligned seasonal execution, consistent brand experience and strong partner activation.

  • Wholesale & Distribution Expertise: Deep knowledge of B2B distribution, account segmentation, pricing mechanics and Marketplace profitability.
  • Commercial Acumen & Data Fluency: Strong ability to interpret sell‑in/sell‑through data, model scenarios and drive timely actions that protect revenue and margin.
  • GTM & Merchandising Alignment: Proven capability translating global direction into market‑ready assortments, sell‑in stories and merchandising‑led plans.
  • Influencing & Partner Management: Highly effective at influencing matrixed global, market and third‑party partners to ensure adherence to guardrails.
  • Brand Elevation & Collaboration: Clear focus on protecting premium positioning through disciplined execution, working cross‑functionally across Product, Marketing, Finance and Markets.
