We are looking for a self-employed Locum GP to join our friendly, well-established practices in Walsall - Beechdale Surgery and Brace Street: Dr Kumar & Dr Kasliwal to provide ongoing clinical support. This opportunity would suit a GP at any stage of their career, including newly qualified or returning practitioners. You will be supported by an experienced and collaborative team who value safe, high-quality care and clinician wellbeing. Applicants who can offer Thursday AM and all-day Friday sessions will be prioritised.

Main duties of the job:

  • Delivery a mix of face-to-face, telephone, urgent, and online consultations.
  • Manage acute, chronic, and complex conditions in line with GMC and NICE guidance.
  • Review test results, hospital correspondence, prescriptions, and clinical tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with our clinical and administrative teams to maintain safe, effective, and responsive care.
  • Accurately record all consultations using EMIS Web.
  • Support continuity of care, safeguarding, and high clinical standards.

Job responsibilities:

Beechdale Surgery and Brace Street: Dr Kumar & Dr Kasliwal's are friendly, well-established practices within South 1 Primary Care Network (Walsall). We provide high-quality, patient-centred care to a combined population of around 6,200 patients. We are looking for a self-employed Locum GP to provide ongoing clinical support across both sites. This opportunity is ideal for GPs at any stage of their career, including newly qualified or returning practitioners. Applicants who can offer Thursday AM and all-day Friday will be prioritised. You will work within a supportive and experienced team committed to safe, effective, and sustainable primary care.

Person Specification:

  • GMC registration and inclusion on the National GP Performers List.
  • Evidence of valid medical indemnity and right to work in the UK.
  • Experience in primary care managing a range of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • Confident in using IT systems and electronic health records.
  • Commitment to safe, evidence-based, and equitable patient care.
  • Experience using EMIS Web.
  • Ability to speak Punjabi or another South Asian language.
  • Experience working across multi-site practices.
  • Interest in contributing to PCN development or local health initiatives.
