  • Monitor vehicle safety and compliance, carrying out routine checks and reporting any maintenance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers to support the success of the Furniture Hub and wider Hospice.
  • Step up and take responsibility when required, including deputising for the Furniture Hub Manager during periods of absence.
  • Act as an ambassador for Dr Kershaw's Hospice, promoting our values and supporting our mission within the local community.

We'd particularly like to hear from you if you can answer "yes" to some of the following questions:

  • Are you confident driving and able to meet our vehicle insurance requirements?
  • Can you prioritise competing demands and remain organised in a busy environment?
  • Do you enjoy meeting people and providing excellent customer service?
  • Are you comfortable working as part of a team while also using your own initiative?
  • Can you build positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, donors and customers?
  • Are you able to carry out regular moving and handling activities as part of a physically active role?
  • Do you take pride in delivering a reliable, professional and efficient service?
  • Can you adapt to changing priorities, problem solve and think creatively?

We are an inclusive organisation, that promotes equality and embraces the diversity of our community. We are open and transparent with our staff and invest in your training and development. We treat all our staff, patients and volunteers with the utmost respect and dignity, and are compassionate to their needs in this ever-changing world.
