Dr Julian is looking for Trainee/Newly Qualified Counsellors who are members of the BACP/UKCP. We are predominately recruiting for remote positions; however, we are also interested in hearing from Counsellors who are willing to provide face-to-face clinics in the Croydon area of London. We are specifically seeking Trainee Counsellors who are undertaking Level 4 (or equivalent) BACP approved Counselling Training, and/or Newly Qualified Counsellors who have completed Level 4 training.

Dr Julian offers an exceptional counselling supervision framework, and we support all our Trainees/Newly Qualified Therapists to reach BACP/UKCP accreditation status.

Who Are We? Dr Julian is an innovative online mental health care provider connecting individuals directly to highly trained Therapists seamlessly via video, audio, live messaging, and face to face. Our purpose is to empower individuals, enabling them to select a Therapist of their choice and have an appointment at a time and place convenient for them. Our Therapists work in line with our Dr Julian policies and procedures, from one of our vetted clinics, or remotely, via our web app on their computer from across the UK. Our platform, accessible 24 hours a day, is highly secure and compliant with UK GDPR data protection requirements.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:
  • Completed or currently working towards BACP/UKCP Level 4 training
  • Working towards full BACP/UKCP accreditation
  • BACP/UKCP membership
  • Experience of working with clients in a supportive role
  • Willingness to complete Safeguarding, GDPR, and Risk Management Training
  • Evidence of an Aptitude to learning, development and providing optimum care to clients/patients
Desirable:
  • Safeguarding Level 3 Adults and Children
  • Previous Counselling experience (in a voluntary or paid capacity)

As a Trainee/Newly Qualified Counsellor you will:

  • Provide high quality patient care and work towards recovery
  • Ensure professional standards with clinical documentation
  • Manage your own diary
  • Work to Dr Julian standards in line with our Policies and Procedures
  • Undertake regular Compliance Training
  • Attend supervision in alignment with regulatory requirements

Working hours: Monday-Friday (9am – 8pm). Must be able to offer a minimum of 5 sessions per week. Interviews will take place once we have shortlisted for the role. Upon application, please send evidence of your qualifications and membership to ensure your application is processed smoothly.
