Mechanistic Biology and Profiling (part of Discovery Sciences) is a global multidisciplinary department responsible for mechanism-of-action studies and compound profiling in support of the Oncology Cardiovascular and Respiratory & Immunology portfolios.What youll do:This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated scientist with expertise in mass spectrometry to play a pivotal role in covalent drug discovery projects within AstraZeneca R&D in Cambridge UK.Accountabilities:In this laboratory-based position you will be responsible for utilising and developing biochemical assays primarily employing mass spectrometry endpoints to profile covalent compounds support chemical design and advance drug discovery initiatives. Operating within a matrix organisation you will collaboratively deliver high-quality data from covalent compound screening to facilitate project progression and present findings in both group and project team meetings.
