The Global Services Security (GSS) team a part of Amazon Web Services leverages the expertise and ingenuity of our builders to establish scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers that drive business outcomes. Our goal of securing the worlds workloads and building a brighter future for humanity requires us to focus on reliable delivery of bar raising security outcomes and investment in security mechanisms and automation on behalf of our customers.The AWS Security Assurance Service team within GSS is seeking a talented Business Development Lead to connect with and educate internal and external customers on how our product-led people-powered services helps operate their business securely on AWS while also demonstrating assurance that compliance objectives can be achieved. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute at the intersection of cloud cyber security and compliance. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple lines of business and learn from (and contribute to) a variety of security and compliance use cases. This is a customer facing role where success is measured by positioning solutions that lead to measurable customer impact. This business developer will lead efforts across EMEA. Key job responsibilities Relationship Management and Pipeline DevelopmentDevelop and nurture strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders across sales product and delivery teamsCreate and execute proactive and reactive business development strategies to generate and expand opportunity pipelineBuild comprehensive awareness and enablement of security assurance solutions across internal and external stakeholder networksDevelop deep understanding of customer challenges and market dynamics to identify potential business opportunities Conversion and Customer EngagementTransform identified opportunities into bookable customer engagementsConduct comprehensive solution mapping aligning customer-specific challenges with tailored security assurance solutionsDevelop and deliver compelling value propositions that demonstrate clear business outcomesManage and progress sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract closureCollaborate closely with sales teams to support and accelerate deal progression-to-Market Strategy and ExpansionLead partner and channel development strategies to diversify and strengthen market penetrationWork collaboratively with Product Management to develop scalable security solutions and offeringsDesign and implement strategic expansion plans for additional EMEA countriesIdentify and evaluate new market opportunities potential partnerships and growth vectorsDevelop comprehensive market intelligence and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-makingPreferred Experience:Proven track record in solution delivery and/or business development Experience in creating go-to-market strategiesStrong background in business development and pipeline generationExpertise in AWS ecosystemDeep understanding of Security Assurance and Compliance frameworksA day in the lifeThe morning starts with context switching between three different customer conversationsmoving from a healthcare compliance discussion to a financial services risk assessment then pivoting to help resolve a manufacturing customers integration challenges. Each requires a completely different mindset and vocabulary but thats the nature of working across diverse industries and use cases.By midday Im comfortable with ambiguity as I navigate a meeting where the requirements are still evolving and the regulatory landscape remains unclear. Rather than waiting for perfect information I focus on understanding the underlying business objectives and building flexible solutions that can adapt as their needs crystallize. The afternoon involves navigating through uncharted territorydeveloping a new GTM strategy that doesnt have an established playbook working closely with cross-functional teams to create something that addresses gaps were seeing across multiple customer segments.Throughout the day theres constant movement between strategic planning technical problem-solving and relationship building. Success comes from being comfortable with incomplete information ready to shift focus as priorities evolve and willing to create new approaches when existing solutions dont quite fit.
