DescriptionThe Service & Team:We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Compliance and Assurance Officer to work as part of the Regulatory Compliance and Assurance Team for the Business Support Integrated Systems and Performance Service. The service provides support to both the Caring and Supportive Communities and Together for Families directorates.The role is to provide efficient and effective administrative regulatory compliance and assurance support across both directorates. The role requires a high level of competence reliability and initiative to progress and complete tasks within the area of responsibility.The Role:This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.This position will be subject to a enhanced criminal record disclosure check.Working Pattern:The role is required to work Mondays Thursdays and Fridays for 21 hours per week over 52 weeks per year.What youll need to succeed:The successful applicant will have good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise appropriately with all levels of staff residents and other agencies. Someone with a professional approach applying discretion and diplomacy is essential. We require flexibility and the ability to enjoy the challenge of working within a busy team environment producing excellent quality accurate outputs while working to tight deadlines.Applicants should have an appropriate qualification at level 4 or above 4 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent including English and Maths and have proficient IT skills including the ability to effectively use all Microsoft Office applications. It would be beneficial if you have experience of regulatory inspections such as Ofsted and CQC.The initial focus for this role will be on collating evidence for a range of inspections. You will work together with colleagues to develop practices to keep these up to date as well as regularly reporting on progress. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills the ability to produce written documentation clearly and concisely and the ability to translate complex information into more accessible language.Cornwall Council is an evolving and developing organisation that requires a level of responsiveness within its services and from its employees.
