The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

The role will primarily involve supporting the Defence Manager in managing the day-to-day across a variety of projects from smaller-scale short-term projects to multi-year high stakeholder engagement programmes.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLeading managing and developing project teams or work streams as part of larger projects and delivering results through others.Commercially aware; experienced in monthly budgeting/forecasting and managing project budgets.Scheduling tracking progress monitor performance with KPIs highlight delays and plan on how to mitigate them.Risk management using a standard Risk Management MatrixManaging contract deliverables variations and amendmentsManaging Subcontracts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)Chair of meetings minute taking and report writing.Manage or support bid preparation.Managing resources both internal and external in conjunction with the leadership in Defence ProgrammesManaging quality and ensuring processes and procedures adhere to ISO accreditations always striving for best practice.Building long-term trusted advisor relationships with our customers and stakeholders.Continually seek ways to improve the business and align your colleagues to this activity.Coach share knowledge and train internal and external personnel.Be responsible for maintaining a working environment in accordance with health and safety standards.Act in accordance with the code of conduct for UTAC group staff at all times.Adaptability to situations and a willingness to work beyond the job description on occasion (i.e. driving test vehicles manual handling)Qualifications : ExperienceExperience of project management and/or programme management adding value at the initial strategic planning phase all the way into implementation construction and delivery in the context of engineering projects and programmes.Proven experience in meeting demanding deadlinesPrevious experience of working with UK Government organisations would be beneficial particularly defence.Experience of managing contractors consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects.QualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject with relatable experience.Recognised project management qualification or certification (PRINCE2 APM etc) preferred.Core competencies:Good Level of understanding of the MS Office Suite (Word Excel Project PowerPoint)Ability to project manage multiple projects for multiple customers simultaneously including financial reporting.Technical minute takingStrong understanding of Quality Control management processesFamiliarity of working in an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 environmentGood understanding of Safety & Environmental management processesPersonal Behaviours:Confident communicator and an agent for changeHighly motivated team player Punctual and well organised with a methodical approach Good communications skills with well noted documentation and work instruction. Good stakeholder engagement ensuring the customer is kept at the centre of all decision making and promoting company values. Mentality to go further for the project and look for value-add situations. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Self-motivated / forward thinking / right first-time attitude with the willingness to learn. Able to use a zero-blame culture to improvement of self and facility. Flexible and adaptable Problem solving mentality an agent for change establishing driving and embracing industry best practice.Essential requirements:Willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check.Full UK driving licenceOwing to the sensitive nature of the works involved in these specialist defence projects candidates will be required to hold or be able to hold valid security clearance (SC) and in order to do so will need to be:British National (residency for the last 5 years)Hold a UK PassportAdditional Information : For you as a potential UTAC team member we believe that the international and diverse nature of our business combined with the passion energy and friendliness of our people create a great place to work.
