To obtain and record vitals weight inputs and outputs. To successfully complete an in-house PCT training program. To demonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safety.Responsibilities:Assist patient with everyday needs including bathing restroom/bedpan assistance etc.To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN for the hospitalMonitor vital signs (temperature pulse blood pressure respirations weights input and outputs)Obtain EKGsDraw blood and perform finger sticksObtain fluid samples or other specimens for testingAssist nursing staff in administering basic treatmentsNotify nursing staff of any issues or concernsKeep patient rooms clean and sanitizedEnsure rooms have adequate patient care suppliesAssist patients with particular issues or needsProvide appropriate emotional supportCommitted to health care standardsDemonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safetyEmpathetic and approachableWork as a part of the health care teamSuccessful completion of PCT orientationHigh School diploma or GED required.
