2 months contract with a local authorityJob PurposeThe Interventions Hub plays a vital role in ensuring children young people and families receive the right support at the right time. This role forms part of a newly created Out of Hours Support Team within Children s Services delivering essential emergency support outside normal office hours. Working across both family support and residential support functions you will help meet urgent needs and ensure children and families are safeguarded supported and empowered in line with the Right Place model.Key Duties/AccountabilitiesProvide responsive out of hours support to vulnerable children young people and families in emergency or crisis situationsDeliver family support interventions aimed at enhancing parenting capacity and improving life chances for children and young peopleOffer residential support to children and young people placed in bespoke emergency care arrangementsWork closely with other teams professionals and services to ensure safe and effective care and support planningMaintain accurate records and contribute to case discussions planning and reviewsOperate independently when required using sound judgment and knowledge of safeguarding proceduresComplete the All Wales Induction Framework for Health and Social Care within 6 months of appointmentEssential Experience RequiredPrevious experience of working directly with children young people and familiesExperience of providing support in either a family support social care or residential care settingEssential Qualification RequiredRelevant qualification in health social care youth work or related field (desirable)Willingness and ability to complete the All Wales Induction Framework for Health and Social Care within 6 monthsAdditional information to noteWorking hours: 30 hours per weekFull valid UK driving licence and sole use of a vehicle is essentialEnhanced DBS & barred list check (Child & adult) is required for the role.RequirementsRequirementsPrevious experience of working directly with children young people and familiesExperience of providing support in either a family support social care or residential care settingRelevant qualification in health social care youth work or related field (desirable)Willingness and ability to complete the All Wales Induction Framework for Health and Social Care within 6 monthsFull valid UK driving licence and sole use of a vehicleEnhanced DBS & barred list check (Child & adult) The Interventions Hub is essential in helping families get the right help at the right time.
