DescriptionAre you an Assyst (iFix) Senior Product Manager who is passionate about optimising and continuously improving IT Service Management (ITSM) tooling and processes has a proven track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams and excels at building strategic stakeholder relationshipsInformation & Technology Services (iTECS) is a Division within Scottish Government and part of Digital Directorate. It is headed by the Chief Operating Office and has responsibility for: delivering corporate ICT and information services for Scottish Government delivering shared ICT services (SCOTS Connect) to paying customer across the central government community in Scotland shared services customers now make up around 50% of the 23000-user base protecting Scottish Governments information and ICT assets contributing to the delivery of Digital Public Services by ensuring that our people and businesses are making the most of the digital opportunity; and that ICT public services are customer-centric collaborative integrated efficient and continuously improving by making best use of digital technology.As Senior Product Manager you will manage multiple products or a single product that is especially complex high risk or sensitive. You will line manage a team of Product Support and Content & Design Managers to manage support and fully exploit the capability of iTECS ITSM tool of choice as a shared service.ResponsibilitiesWorking in an Agile manner identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use including measuring and evaluating outcomes; help the team to decide the best approach; help teams to manage and visualise outcomes prioritise work and adhere to agreed minimum viable product (MVP) priorities and scope.Demonstrate an advanced understanding of ITSM platform design technology and data principles.Integrate iFix with other products and services to deliver enhanced operational efficiencies and value across multiple platforms in the organisation and improve customer experience.Evaluate and redesign operational processes amend existing processes and plan and put into operation the stages of a new product or service development.Work with and challenge senior stakeholders – prioritise and mitigate constraints and turn them into an advantage – adapt the approach depending on the constraints.Platform vendor management.ResponsibilitiesSuccess ProfileSuccess profiles are specific to each job and they include the mix of experience skills and behaviours candidates will be assessed on.Experience:You should have expertise in coaching and leading teams in Agile and Lean practices determining the right approach for the team to take and evaluating this through the life of a project.You should have experience in integrating products with other services.You should have experience of planning and engaging with the appropriate stakeholders at various stages in the project.You should be experienced in adapting the approach depending on the constraints.Experience is assessed at sift along with a more in-depth assessment at interview.Technical Skills:This role is aligned to the Product Manager within the Product and Delivery Job Family.You can find out more about the skills required here.These skills are assessed by technical assessment designed to represent the role.
