Work ScheduleStandard (Mon-Fri)Environmental ConditionsOfficeJob DescriptionPosition Summary:As an EU Demand Planner at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. you will have the outstanding opportunity to significantly impact our European distribution network! Reporting to the EU Demand Planning Manager you will be responsible for crafting a detailed demand forecasting and inventory planning process across multiple sites and SKUs. By converting high-level Supply Chain Planning objectives into executable and maintainable system configurations and standardized processes you will play a crucial role in our operations.Collaborating with a dynamic team you will analyse the performance of your portfolio taking ownership of Route Cause and Countermeasure reporting to improve performance. Your contributions to developing and presenting reports to the wider business will be invaluable.This role can be based either in Loughborough Untied Kingdom or Illkirch France with some hybrid working.Duties and Responsibilities:Complete daily weekly monthly and periodical tasks such as accurate item classification for optimized inventory management.Maintain and improve safety stock and ROP system settings.Review Stock/Non-stock processes to optimize operational impact.Ensure accurate inventory management parameters within Logility ERP systems.Conduct routine and ad-hoc detailed analyses providing recommendations to achieve profitability customer service and desired inventory value.Identify and communicate opportunities for service and inventory improvements.Manage key indicators to meet or exceed goals for service level and inventory.Efficiently handle reporting and implementation of operational tasks.Serve as the reference point for Planning process definition including implementation standardization improvement and documentation.Design build and deploy decision support tools analysis reports and models to improve supply chain efficiency.Collaborate cross-functionally to support inventory planning forecasting procurement transportation and distribution operations.Provide detailed insight and analysis of ideal network stocking locations.Liaise with our Portfolio team to manage stocking policies and new product introductions across European hubs.Help write and maintain work instructions and SOPs.Identify and communicate opportunities for service and inventory improvements.Resolve planning issues proactively!Develop improvement plans with suppliers to improve product supply flow.Optimize stock holding and minimize the risk of excess and obsolescence.Manage the review and execution of new customer implementations which may involve establishing a Stock Holding Agreement or an Assurance of Supply contract with the customer.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Proficiency in Excel PC server and ERP systems.Experience with forecasting models and demand planning processes in an FMCG multi-location distribution environment.Comprehensive understanding of inventory purchasing and supplier management.Strong analytical skills.Ability to multitask and address immediate priorities.Metrics-focused with a continuous improvement and self-motivation approach.Proficient in Business and Technical English (French and English is essential for the role based in Illkersh France) Key Skills Forecasting,Microsoft Access,Math,SAP,Supply Chain Experience,Analysis Skills,SAP APO,SAP Supply Chain Management,Production Planning,SAP ERP,ERP Systems,MRP Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
