Operations is at the heart of Amazons customer experience and differentiation. Our ambition is to be the earths most customer-centric business and set the industry standard for customer innovation and experience. The EU Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) Team is responsible for driving step-change improvements in the performance of Amazons European Operations from vendor through to customer. We work backwards from the customer and define new innovative solutions that raise the bar on customer experience and speed whilst constantly lower our cost of fulfilment and supporting our continued high growth. The team will work on top strategic projects and opportunities across the European operations influencing business-critical decisions and taking the performance of the operations to the next level. This is a fast-paced challenging and deadline driven environment. It is expected that members of the ACES team can develop their careers by progressing to more senior roles within the team or by moving into numerous challenging and sought after leadership roles in fulfilment operations transportation or supply chain after spending time within ACES. This role will require travel as required to drive project deliverables.Key job responsibilities- Lead strategic projects/ programs own end to end project and stakeholder management- Conduct strong problem solving and ideation to define solutions that meet the high bar on safety customer experience quality and cost- Own document writing and run reviews with key stakeholders to drive alignment across business & drive decision-making- Ensure execution of project/ program to meet project plan and targets- Contribute to identifying new project opportunities for future- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science-based subject - Relevant project and people management experience in either Business Consulting operations or Supply Chain - Relevant experience in operational process and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design - Relevant experience across the full project lifecycle: analysis design and implementation - Relevant experience in communicating complex concepts with ability to influence diverse audience at different levels - Relevant experience of analysing and distilling down complex operating models and identifying where the value and opportunity is - Relevant experience in complex change management projects which involves stakeholders that can be sceptical/resistant to change - MBA - Experience dealing with ambiguity and proficiency of hypothesis-led problem solving - Experience in operating at both a strategic and operational level - Experience in taking unpopular positions with ability to influence senior stakeholder - Relevant experience in driving complex initiatives with limited oversightAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
