RESPONSIBILITIESEngineering Leadership & Team ManagementLead and develop a team of project engineers responsible for coordinating engineering activities across battery systems platforms and integration projectsProvide technical mentorship and career development for project engineering team membersEstablish engineering project management best practices processes and standardsDrive engineering excellence through design reviews technical assessments and continuous improvement initiativesFoster collaboration between engineering disciplines (electrical mechanical software systems)Program & Project ManagementOwn end-to-end program delivery of the Allye MAX range of Battery Energy Storage SystemsManage multiple concurrent engineering projects from concept through manufacturing scale-upAccountable for program quality delivery timelines cost targets feature development technology roadmaps and risk mitigationCoordinate complex workstreams across internal teams and external stakeholdersMonitor project progress using engineering metrics and KPIs implementing corrective actions when neededConduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop robust mitigation strategiesTechnical Engineering OversightDevelop comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements at system and subsystem levelsLead system architecture definition and ensure alignment with program objectivesMake critical engineering trade-off decisions in major component selection and technology choicesOversee technical design reviews and approval processes for systems subsystems and componentsDrive battery integration strategies thermal management solutions and power electronics optimisationEnsure compliance with safety standards grid codes (G99) and regulatory requirementsStakeholder Management & DocumentationCollaborate with suppliers and project partners to ensure on-time quality delivery of engineering solutionsInterface with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA)Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including specifications DFMEAs test plans and validation protocolsManage engineering design release processes and change control proceduresImplement cost tracking Bill of Materials (BoM) optimization and weight management reportingPresent technical program updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders Qualifications : SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEEssential RequirementsDegree in Electrical Mechanical or Systems Engineering (Masters preferred)3-5 years managing battery or EV projects in automotive industry5 years of hands-on engineering experience in battery systems energy storage3 years of technical team leadership experience managing project engineersStrong understanding of battery technologies BMS design power conversion etcExperience with system-level engineering requirements management and validationAPM/Prince2 certification or equivalent project management qualificationTrack record of delivering complex engineering programs from concept to productionExperience with engineering project management tools and frameworks (GANTT charts risk management V-model development change control)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with engineering decision-makingExcellent communication with ability to translate technical concepts to audiencesExperience with compliance frameworks and regulatory environmentsUnderstanding of manufacturing processes supply chain management and costHighly DesirableAdvanced degree in engineering or related technical fieldGrid connection and G99/grid code compliance experiencePower electronics and inverter technology backgroundAutomotive or aerospace program management experienceExperience with circular economy principles and second-life battery applicationsSoftware integration and IoT connectivity knowledge for smart energy systemsLean/Agile development methodologies experiencePersonal AttributesEngineering mindset with hands-on technical problem-solving approachStrong self-motivation with ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environmentExceptional team collaboration and cross-functional leadership skillsAdaptability and resilience in managing changing priorities and requirementsPassion for sustainable technology and clean energy solutionsDetail-oriented with commitment to engineering excellence and safety standards Additional Information : Please note that at this time we are unable to provide UK visa sponsorshipStrictly No AgenciesRemote Work : NoEmployment Type : Full-time Key Skills Business Development,Electrical Engineering,Management Experience,HVAC,Territory Management,Project Management,Quality Control,Contract Management,Budgeting,Program Development,Public Speaking,Contracts Experience: years Vacancy: 1
