We bring clarity to complex situations through extensive sector knowledge and a deep understanding of global markets.As an Equity Research Analyst or Associate within the top ranked Telecoms Equity Research Team you will be tasked with cultivating a deep understanding of equities markets and companies with a special emphasis on theTelecoms sector.Your role will involve collaborating closely with our top-tier team under the mentorship of senior analysts to create insightful reports on companies sectors and thematic trends. You will also be responsible for conveying our teams insights on stocks and sectors to our institutional clients. Beyond your immediate team duties you will be a part of a community of intelligent inquisitive and collaborative team members who are given substantial responsibility and exposure early in their careers. We provide extensive training and professional development across the department to support career progression.Job ResponsibilitiesWork with senior colleagues in the team to provide thought-leadership to institutional clients with respect to the Telecom sector with potential for stock coverage based on candidate readinessMaintain and update valuation modelsBuild and maintain industry databasesPrepare materials for the regular publication of research reports including data analysis and presentationContribute to the writing of research reports including quarterly results alerts stock reports and thematic piecesCommunicate with institutional investors and company representatives as well as internal clients (Sales Sales-Traders and Traders)Stay abreast of company and industry developmentsRequired Qualifications Capabilities and SkillsStrong interest in Telecoms or technology more generally and a willingness to specialize in this areaExcellent communication skills both verbal and written; you can engage and influence partners and stakeholdersEnthusiasm for a team-focused environment where each individuals insight and expertise is valuedAn analytical approach to building and maintaining financial modelsStrong numeracy skillsGreat attention to detailRelationship-building skills you should feel comfortable connecting with a wide range of individuals have the ability to communicate clearly concisely and confidently both to colleagues and external clients and possess a talent for distilling complex issues into specific conclusionPreferred qualifications capabilities and skillsStrong modelling skills with the ability to forecastExperience across TMT Accounting or Consulting advantageous but not essentialThis role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity.
