The team has been structured so that it provides industry focus and client coverage across key geographies and sectors including Consumer & Retail Healthcare TMT Utilities Energy and General Industries. NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS2-3MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLETo manage corporate client relationships and drive growth in the business. The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of clients that are headquartered in the UK Ireland & Switzerland predominantly in the Consumer & Retail sector. Responsible to deliver solutions across MUFGs products and Global Network in close collaboration with product partners and internal stakeholders to maximise income and achieve MUFGs target returns. External engagement is typically with the CFO and Treasury professionals of MUFGs existing and prospective clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain comprehensive relationships with the target client base both existing and prospectiveFormulate and implement account plans for the portfolio collaborating closely with product partners to execute a cross-sell strategyGrow the portfolio by identifying and securing new opportunities increasing the banks share of wallet across the client baseCollaborate with Credit teams to address all credit-related needs and facilitate internal approvals from Capital CommitteesConduct thorough analysis to identify clients needs that can be addressed with MUFGs wide range of products including debt capital markets structured finance risk management & transaction banking solutionsContributing to Global Corporate & Investment Banking wide projects as they ariseCoaching mentoring and guiding junior colleaguesWORK EXPERIENCEExperience in Corporate Banking across a similar product suiteExperience with a similar global footprint preferredExperience in the Consumer & Retail sector preferredSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEFunctional / Technical Competencies:Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in corporate banking debt capital markets or similar roles in banking with a proven track record of establishing relationships with top tier corporatesStrong credit knowledgeStrong understanding of debt finance FX IR hedging & global transaction bankingPERSONAL REQUIREMENTSTeam player that actively contributes to the culture of the teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
