Rethinking continually the business of storytelling we represent reflect and reach the nation telling the stories that matter.Your role:Primary responsibilities are full ownership of the Credit Control function for Tibus including billing reconciliation of customers chasing and securing payment within agreed terms of business receiving incoming emails and telephone calls from customers and providing regular reports to meet set targets KPIs and deadlines.Day to day you will:AdminProvide the banking team with account numbers for daily BACS payments received within set deadlinesAction emails from the banking team within agreed timescales and deadlinesRemittances to be saved down as PDFs to assigned P drive for the banking team to access within agreed timescales and deadlinesZendesk emails to be acknowledged and responded within agreed SLAsAction New Customer Requests and customer amendment requests within SOX guidelinesChange report to be provided to the AR Supervisor along with all backup each morning.Cash allocation for all customers to be actioned on a daily basis Ledger ManagementChase collection of outstanding payments from customers via telephone email and letterReceive incoming calls and emails from customers.Surface investigate and raise assigned customer account queries via manual query google doc and liaise with the Admin Clerk for response within agreed SLA timescalesMonitor and chase resolved queries with assigned customersMaintain accurate customer records via customer comments and diaryIssue Dunning Notices for outstanding balancesAction weekly aged debtor report downloadsUpdate weekly aged debtor reports with any promised payments Raise own journal amendmentsAttend regular ledger reviews and provide reasons for any outstanding invoices on the ledgerProvide cover on other ledgers when required Other DutiesLiaise with the Admin Clerk in Belfast to ensure billing is actioned by the agreed deadlinesReview unallocated cash across all accounts contact customers to obtain remittance or advice in order to allocate paymentValidate completed billing templates across all business areasComplete report requirements as set by AR Supervisor or AR ManagerRaise and process Refund requestsKey Journals on a rotaWhat were looking for from you:Knowledge of SAPExcel Basic to IntermediateWord Basic to IntermediateExcellent understanding of Credit Control practises and proceduresEfficient and hardworking with ability to multitaskAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesA good team player capable of flexibilitySelf-motivated with proactive approachAt News UK we know the value of working together which is why we operate a hybrid working policy with a minimum of three days a week in the office.
