Corporate development is central to our growth strategy and this team leads the sourcing evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions partnerships and special projects that support expansion beyond business as usual.The Associate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities improving our strategic toolkit and supporting transactions and cross-functional initiatives. Youll work closely with senior leadership and teams across the organisation to shape the FTs future.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and assess corporate development opportunities including acquisition targets and strategic partnershipsSupport the continuous improvement of corporate development tools processes and documentationLead financial and valuation analysis including modelling and scenario planningCoordinate due diligence assist with negotiations and contribute to integration planningCollaborate on cross-functional strategic initiatives across the businessPrepare clear and compelling documentation for executive leadership the FT Board and NikkeiRequired Skills and Experience46 years of relevant experience in investment banking M&A advisory VC/PE corporate finance or strategyDegree or equivalent experience in finance economics business or accountingAdvanced financial modelling and valuation skillsDemonstrated experience managing or supporting end-to-end transaction processesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and commercial judgementAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesSelf-starter with strong teamworkProficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint and/or Google SuiteDesirableStrategy experienceFamiliarity with the media publishing or information services sectorExperience working with executive-level stakeholders and cross-functional teamsWhats in it for YouOur benefits vary depending on location but we are committed to providing best in class perks across all our offices as well as an inclusive environment to develop your career.
