Job descriptionThis Concept Artist position is for those looking to work as part of the core Art Department team. Framestores Art Department helps its clients visualise a script or a new product. Our artists often partner with a director or marketer to enable them to see the images they are seeking to create.This highly skilled and creative group is available to all external and internal productions. Their aim is simple: to enable clients to fully visualise their projects.A Concept Artist will work with the Art Director to develop concept artwork that fits the overall look and art style for current and upcoming film and commercial projects.A Concept Artist is responsiblefor providing production artwork including character/creature designs environments vehicles/props effects and shot design utilising both 2D and 3D approaches.For a snapshot of some of our recent projects head here > requirementsEssential SkillsExcellent 2D skills and knowledge of traditional art techniques.Some experience working with 3D applications.An excellent understanding of anatomy character/creature design colour theory perspective lighting and composition.Be able to design a variety of original concepts including interior and exterior environments and accompanying scene objects.Be fluent in working with digital media (e.g. Photoshop).Be able to quickly render imaginative concepts from the verbal and written direction.Work well in and communicate ideas within a team environment.Be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic.Desirable SkillsSkills working with 3D software such as ZBrush 3Dcoat Keyshot Maya or Modo.A passion for films and visual effects!Accessibility StatementOur London studio is fully accessible with step-free entry accessible toilets on all floors and quiet spaces available.
