High school diploma or GED required. Successful completion of all IDX classes is required. Two (2) years experience as a medical assistant preferred. Currently certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcare Association (NHA) required. If certified by another accrediting agency AAMA or NHA certification must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. To routinely review schedules for appointment availability and employ processes to maximize patient access potential such as appointment reminders wait lists and timely coordination of patient cancellations.
