Youll work closely with cross functional development and product teams supporting the Product Manager in creating on-going prioritised backlogs of work which drive value for the business with a focus on defining and then measuring their success. As part of the role youll elicit requirements drive analysis consider technical feasibility with support from engineering identify opportunities for improvement and ultimately help the team deliver successfully.Part of your role will also include being an active member of the BA community within Times Media and News UK and actively understanding and contributing to the best practices within the whole Technology portfolio and aligning them to whats needed.Your team: Times Content is a thriving team focused on being the world leader in journalism on mobile devices by thinking big working small and delivering efficiently.Day to day you will:Work closely with one or more cross functional development teams on a range of new initiative projects rollout projects or BAU change requests seeing them through to completionWorking alongside a Product Manager liaise with stakeholders across technology to identify and elaborate the next priority/ies for the programmeWork with Business Stakeholders to elicit requirements for change requests resolving any conflicting/unclear requirements along the wayManage the backlog refinement and estimation processEnsure all stakeholders are informed of the progress throughout the change lifecycleUse appropriate analysis documentation e.g. user journeys process flows data flows use cases user storiesWhat Were Looking For:Requirements elicitation and analysisSkilled and structured in requirements elicitation and analysis to identify business or customer valueExperience facilitating conversations outlining potential solutions and prioritising options based on business value or required outcomesAbility to present information in different styles according to the need and maturity of the dev team and according to the stakeholder typeExperienced in suitable visualisation techniques for your analysis to best highlight the proposed changeBuilding Trust and CollaborationEncourage and establish (or re-establish) ways of working with other disciplines to collectively contribute to delivering business valueSeek ways to collaborate across the wide spectrum of stakeholders in order to achieve common understanding of challenges opportunities and next stepsContribute towards creating a trusted empowered team that feels comfortable handling challenging conversations around scope benefits failure and ways of workingDelivery Focus within Agile / Lean ways of workingUnderstanding of iterative product development and the technology delivery lifecycle from inception through to delivery including MVP prototyping and lean start-up techniques.Lead/support delivery of a major release or multiple initiatives from BA perspective through a clear understanding of the purpose and value of the increments within itHave experience working with distributed teams and an appreciation of the benefits and challenges of doing so.Facilitation & CommunicationA great communicator able to influence and communicate at every level share risks assumptions and constraints effectively across discipline and business stakeholdersAble to clearly communicate complex technical subjects to business and technology stakeholders and focus on alignment to business objectivesA proven facilitator of difficult conversations able to tailor their approach according to the situation and audienceIf you believe you have the skills and passion to succeed even if you dont meet every requirement on the list we encourage you to apply.
