Commencing in February 2026 our 4-year apprenticeship program provides the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised trade qualification Certificate III in ESI Transmission Overhead (UET30521).Learning from skilled and dedicated tradespeople you will be exposed to A combination of theory and hands-on learning delivered by TasNetworks own Registered Training Organisation (RTO)On-site field work at various job sites statewideConstruction and maintenance of the transmission overhead networkLocate and rectify faults on the transmission networkOperate and maintain plant and equipmentComplete all necessary paperwork and reportingTasNetworks are responsible for keeping the lights on across Tasmania and our field crews are committed to investigating and restoring power in times of extreme weather conditions including storms bushfires floods and snowfall.Our Lineworker apprenticeship wont just provide you with a job but it will set you up with a career for life!About you First and foremost you will be passionate about building your career whilst making a meaningful difference in your community.To be eligible to participate in our Apprenticeship Program you must have the ability to work towards completion of the relevant trade Certificate adhere to health safety and environmental practices in the workplace possess strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with peers leaders and our customers.You will need to be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and hold a current provisional drivers licence by commencement date in February 2026.You will need to have completed Year 12 and passed Maths English and preferably a Science subject OR have completed pre-vocational studies in Certificate II in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) OR have relevant work experience to be eligible.Whats on offer Our Lineworker Apprenticeships are a 4-year commitment with a permanent role being offered once you are a qualified tradesperson.
