Headquartered in Sydney Australia with offices around the world we help clients navigate difficult business conditions remove inefficiencies and enable scalable adoption of analytics culture.About the Role:We are seeking an Alation Developer to support the rollout and optimization of Alations data cataloguing capabilities as part of a broader Data Governance transformation. Working within a cross-functional team you will be responsible for implementing metadata ingestion enabling data discovery and integrating Alation with existing data and governance ecosystems. This role supports one of our key enterprise clients across Europe.Key Responsibilities:Develop configure and maintain Alation Data Catalog including metadata ingestion custom workflows and user rolesCollaborate with data governance leads stewards and SMEs to define business glossaries policies and workflowsIntegrate Alation with data platforms (Snowflake BigQuery Azure etc.) and DG toolsEnable lineage data profiling and stewardship visibility across core datasetsProvide training and documentation to enable business adoption and self-service usageSupport data quality and governance initiatives by aligning catalog strategy with enterprise data architectureDrive automation and API-based extensions where applicableRequired Skills & Experience:4 years in Data Governance or Metadata Management roles2 years of hands-on Alation experience (including configuration integration and workflow enablement)Strong technical proficiency in metadata ingestion REST APIs and connector configurationsProven ability to collaborate across business and technical teamsExperience with SQL Python scripting or similar for catalog automationFamiliarity with data governance tools frameworks and catalog best practicesExcellent communication and documentation skillsInclusion & Equal OpportunitiesBilligence is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
