Our opportunities and support will enable you to make a difference and leave a positive lasting the possibilities.Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role you will initially be supporting two schemes maintaining databases and spreadsheets. You will be raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers.Youll be communicating with Cyclist Instructors and service users including schools and residents. This is a new role and you will make a positive difference to the service we offer. The role involves administering the Cycle Ready scheme initially setting up new school users and supporting them as they use the scheme ongoing. You will also set up new instructors and help them use the scheme ensuring they complete their administrative duties after courses have ended.You will promote the Multi Modal Vouchers scheme to residents confirm their eligibility and then ensure they receive their orders and use their vouchers.As the role develops you may well become involved in other areas and administrative functions within the wider Transport Strategy team. These may include loading planning documents into MasterGov and the Flood and Water Database; updating the Transport Strategy sections of the SCC website; receiving recording and issuing land drainage consents or refusal notices; managing payments such as fees licences and contributions; and issuing Street Works Permits to developers undertaking works in the public highway ensuring this information is accurately recorded on Insight.Your work will directly support Suffolk County Councils goals to reduce road casualties promote healthier lifestyles and reduce environmental impact through active and sustainable travel.You will needto be flexible and manage your own timegreat communication skillsto enjoy creating and administering business processes and proceduresideally an interest in cycling and promoting active travel however its more important that youre willing to learn and grow with us as we develop and expand our schemes.You can view a full list of requirements in theJob and Person Profile (docx).If you believe you can succeed in this role apply.
