We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Administration Assistant on a 2- Months contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: 12.85- 16.61 per hour Summary: The Administration Assistant will provide essential administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department within Plymouth City Council. This role is crucial for maintaining effective communication organizing information and supporting various departmental functions contributing to the delivery of high-quality public services. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team and department including drafting correspondence reports and other documents.Input update and retrieve data accurately using various computer systems and databases.Process invoices expense claims and purchase orders in accordance with council procedures.Act as a first point of contact for internal and external queries providing polite helpful and accurate information.Adhere to Plymouth City Councils policies and procedures including those related to health and safety equal opportunities and data protection. Qualifications: Relevant administrative qualification (e.g. NVQ in Business Administration equivalent diploma). Experience: Proven experience working in an administrative or office support role ideally within a large organization or public sector environment.Experience with data entry record keeping and managing administrative processes.Experience using specific council or public sector IT systems.
