We collaborate with Finance Claims Operations Marketing and Risk Management among other functions. As an AIG actuary you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict manage and mitigate risk.How you will create an impactThe Global Specialty Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Global Aerospace business providing pricing analyses and granular performance monitoring.This is a fantastic role for a bright enthusiastic Analyst with a couple of years of experience within General Insurance. We offer great career progression and we will support you in developing your technical skills and in becoming a qualified Actuary.Some of the key responsibilities include:Providing the Global Aerospace businesses with the actuarial support they require to profitably grow their business and take remedial action where needed.Support the development alignment and execution of portfolio strategies.Actively involved in technical pricing tool development and enhancements whilst considering local market requirements.In co-ordination with the actuarial pricing team monitor rates at renewal and new business ensure technical pricing models are in place and reviewed regularly and that any deviation is justified and monitored.Produce pricing analysis for large accounts and schemes within agreed timescales working closely with underwriters.Report performance at granular level (account and rating factor) so that underwriters can optimize performance.Work closely with underwriting management to identify profitable new business and growth opportunities.What were looking forDegree in Mathematics or related discipline2 years of actuarial or data science experience within General InsuranceStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong work ethic with a willingness to learnStrong MS Excel skillsCoding experience in Python R VBA or other programming languagesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills#LI-AIGAt AIG we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
