Due to our ever increasing client base and opening of our new premises, we are expanding our team! Please do not reply unless you are based in the UK and can commute to our location in Guildford.

Hours: 3-4 hours per week

Company Description: Dr Jo Gee Psychological Therapies is a psychiatry, psychotherapy and personality disorders service specialising in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). The service is based in Guildford, United Kingdom, and is committed to providing expert psychological care to patients.

You will be joining a full psychotherapy, CBT and DBT programme team of 20 clinicians and 5 psychiatrists. Working 3-4 days a week (to include at least 1 evening) you will work alongside the team supporting our ever-growing client base through 1-2-1 interventions and groups.

  • You should have completed a Psychotherapy and DBT training eg through BI DBT or APT (needs to be able to integrate or use DBT theory)
  • Accreditation with BABCP or BACP/UKCP is preferable
  • Experience working with young people and adults using DBT
  • Alongside face-to-face therapy, you must be comfortable providing therapy via online platforms: e.g. Zoom

Objectives of the role:

  • Assessing patients for suitability for DBT.
  • Co-facilitating DBT groups for adolescents and adults.
  • Seeing 1:1 patients for DBT.
  • Attending supervision.
  • Engaging with the MDT.
