Are you looking for a new challenge within a practice that is supportive, forward-thinking and fast-paced? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to join our dynamic and friendly practice as a salaried GP. Experience is preferred; however, we would be open to employing a newly qualified GP for the right candidate. Mentorship is provided by a named GP Partner to facilitate a smooth transition into the team.
Our Clinical team consists of 6 Partners, 7 salaried GPs, GP Trainee, 1 ANP, 5 Practice Nurses, a Frailty Practice Nurse and 3 HCAs. We are a traditional general practice, committed to delivering high quality care to our patients with a strong ethos focused on excellent team working to achieve a manageable workload.
Main duties of the job:
- The post holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
- We are looking for a salaried GP to work between 6 and 8 sessions (working days to be discussed).
- The surgery is open from 8am - 6.30pm. We operate morning and afternoon surgeries with a mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments.
- You will also have a fair share of on-calls, home visits, admin work and holiday cover for colleagues.
- GPs are expected to keep up to date with current evidence-based practice and CPD.

Armley PCN employs a Frailty Team, Social Prescribers, Pharmacists, a Men's Mental Health Support worker, dietician and First Contact Physio. We are a busy training practice who pride ourselves on patient care, developing our staff and supporting the community.

Job responsibilities:
Responsibilities can be discussed in detail at interview. In summary, the GP should work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to GMC standards of Good Medical Practice, leading by example and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multi-disciplinary team.
