30 hours per week (4 days) / 40 weeks per year (term time) plus 2 weeks, mainly in August. Pay Range 6 from £36,495 - £39,876 (FTE).
We are seeking to appoint a caring and meticulous Exams Officer to play a pivotal role in the life of our school. This is a key operational post, central to ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations. The successful candidate will be affable, kind and highly organised, with strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work highly accurately, plan ahead and problem-solve under pressure.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end administration and management of all exams across the school, ensuring strict adherence to JCQ and awarding body regulations. The role also involves line managing the experienced Assistant Exams Officer and a team of invigilators, managing expenditure, and maintaining consistency and compliance in all examination procedures.
This is an ideal opportunity to play a central role in our warm and strong community, providing the very best exams support and experience to our students and great service for our staff and parents. Whilst the role is largely 4 days/week, during external exams 5 days and longer hours are necessary.
