Overview
Benhill Dental Practice in Sutton is an independent practice, we are looking for a reliable and professional Qualified / Trainee Dental Nurse to join our team on a part-time, employed basis two or three Fridays a month ( with the possibility of working one Saturday a month/ providing week day cover for other nurses when on annual leave).
Working Hours:
Fridays: 7:45am – 6:00pm- Includes a 1-hour lunch break
Start date: Friday 5th November
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to provide chairside support to our Hygienist every other Friday. This role involves assisting with patient care, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring a smooth flow of appointments throughout the day.
This opportunity is open to qualified and trainee dental nurses. For trainee nurses, this position is ideal if you are looking to gain additional hours and more exposure to dental practice life alongside your main training. Please note that, as this role is limited to every other Friday and focused on hygienist support, it should be considered as a supplement to main training elsewhere which will be responsible for your assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside support for the Hygienist during treatments/ provide cover for other nurses providing chairside assistance for dentists depending on your availability
- excellent cross-infection control standards.
- Prepare and tidy the surgery before and after sessions.
- Welcome and reassure patients.
- Support the smooth running of the day\’s schedule.
- Want to contribute and grow with the practice
Requirements:
- GDC registered Dental Nurse or trainee dental nurse enrolled on a recognised course.
- Friendly, professional, and reliable.
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
