Salary £20,000 per annum (based 30h/w)

Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 15:00). We offer flexibility on daily hours, but the role requires coverage across 5 days.

About Us: We are a small, family‑run business in the standby power industry. We pride ourselves on offering a relaxed and supportive place to work, where people are approachable, help each other out, and get on well. We work hard, but we also have a laugh and keep the office friendly and down‑to‑earth. Please note, we occasionally have dogs in the office, so this environment is best suited to an animal lover!

The Role: We are looking for a reliable, organised, and practical assistant to support our team. This role perfectly balances system‑based admin with a small element of hands‑on practical work, focusing on checking new work orders, managing parts, and supporting our engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check new work orders and identify the parts needed
  • Add required parts to work orders in Dynamics 365
  • Raise purchase orders for parts not held in stock
  • Replenish stock by ordering regular parts and consumables
  • Receive deliveries and route parts to the correct locations
  • Pick parts and prepare physical work packs for engineers
  • Follow up with suppliers on deliveries, returns, and back orders
  • Process supplier invoices linked to purchase orders
  • Complete regular Health & Safety checks
  • Assist with basic finance tasks
  • Carry out general office admin tasks

What We Are Looking For:

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Comfortable with both computer systems and practical tasks. Prior experience in purchasing, stock management, or operational admin in a similar industry is useful, but we are most interested in someone who is reliable and has the right attitude and approach to their work.

Interview Process:

Interviews will be scheduled across Friday, 26th June 2026, and Monday, 29th June, between 08:00 and 15:00. The process will take up to 1 hour and will include a short practical assessment followed by a brief discussion with our Operational Support Lead and General Manager.
