Reporting to the Supply Chain Co-ordinator, the successful Packaging Technologist will be qualified with a 3rd Level Engineering/Scientific/Technical Qualification with a Lean Six Sigma qualification; Six Sigma certified is an advantage. The successful Packaging Technologist will have 3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry. An Engineering/Technical Qualification is desirable or relevant experience working in a Pharma environment. Experience with Eqms/Trackwise, ADMS, and Artwork Management systems is required, along with proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and strong systems capability.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of approved materials on time to production lines.
- Efficient procurement of materials.
- Delivery of finished product to logistics function.
- Co-ordinate introduction of revised or new packaging materials.
- Support SAP activities to make Supply Chain more efficient.
- Support Business Interests in SAP Projects.
- Co-ordinate the introduction of new/revised packaging materials for launches or revisions of products.
- Develop specifications and technical contracts for the procurement of packaging materials.
- Provide technical packaging expertise to other departments.
- Implement Packaging Materials changes to ensure launch timelines are met and materials revisions are introduced in a timely manner as per BLUE Artwork management system.
- Prepare artwork/proofs and technical contracts.
- Communicate timeframes with Labelling Management, Production, QA/QC, and other departments.
- Develop new packaging materials/specifications when required for existing and new vendors of packaging materials.
- Prepare Master data changes where required for SAP.
- Preparation of GMP documentation: BOMs, IPS, SOPs, WIs, Eqms/Trackwise: Vendor Complaints, Change Controls, Non-Conformance Support.
- SAP master data creation via Implementation reports, managing QM notifications for product launches.
- Support Update Recipe & Production Version details as required.
- Co-ordinate accordingly with Master Data Management (MDM) colleagues.
Qualifications
- 3rd Level Engineering/Scientific/Technical Qualification.
- Lean Six Sigma qualification; Six Sigma certified is an advantage.
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- Engineering/Technical Qualification desirable or relevant experience working in a Pharma environment.
- Experience with Eqms/Trackwise, ADMS, Artwork Management systems.
- All Microsoft Office applications & strong systems capability.
