We are a design, production, and installation company specialising in four areas of business – event fit out, signage, exhibition stands and shopfitting. Managing projects from concept all the way through to manufacture and installation.
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and technically capable designer to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This role will support ongoing projects across exhibitions, hospitality structures, and signage. Working alongside Project managers you will create hospitality/exhibition/interiors based on client briefs. Delivering plan layouts, visual renders and creating SWOOD models for CNC manufacture.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently, able to take initiative, and comfortable balancing creative design with technical detail in a fast-paced environment working to strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with our project managers, production teams and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
- Interpret client briefs and develop creative design with the ability to advise on solutions.
- Produce detailed technical drawings and elevations suitable for manufacture and installation.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, schedules, and revisions.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Understand brand guidelines and be able to place graphics and logos for visual representation.
- Research and source products used within the designs.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and SWOOD design.
- Experience using eDrawings.
- Confident using Google Sheets for schedules, material lists, and tracking.
- Ability to create accurate, detailed technical drawings and renders.
Personal Attributes
- Creative with strong visual and spatial awareness.
- Highly detail-driven and organised.
- Able to work on initiative from client briefs.
- Practical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in exhibition design, events, or temporary structures.
- Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and installation processes.
- Previous experience working to tight event deadlines.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
