Early Day Shift Warehouse Operative
Shift: 6:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £27000 to £29000 - per annum
Location: DPE Group, HP4 3TY
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the safe, accurate, and timely handling of goods during daytime operations, including lorry loading/unloading, locker processing, and vehicle preparation. The role supports continuity across logistics flows and contributes to maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload and load inbound/outbound LGV’s & Hiab’s
- Ensure correct and secure loading/unloading practices
- Check lockers/goods for damage
- Process, build and program lockers ready for installation
- Vehicle Preparation
- Support early morning dispatch readiness
- Pick and storage lockers in correct areas
- Maintain clear and safe bay areas throughout the shift
- Documentation & systems
- Collaborate with the warehouse manager and installation teams
- Assist colleagues when available and contribute to a respectful, fair team culture
Skills & Requirements
- Experience in warehouse or logistics operations (preferred)
- Valid forklift or MHE certification (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Willingness to support team and colleagues
Additional Notes
- PPE must be worn at all times
- Role includes physical tasks and prolonged standing and moving
