We are looking to recruit ambitious and motivated individuals to join our highly experienced Owner Driver Team. You will be responsible for Area 14 covering depots in the South West area.
Purpose of the position: Be fully accountable for the DPD third Party Partner Model and championing the process from beginning to end. Retain drivers in line with agreed KPIs, reduce churn and drive engagement. Build meaningful and personable relationships with third party partners. Ensure the fair treatment of self-employed workers in line with the company DNA and self-employment scheme.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Be responsible for supporting the recruitment initiatives of new drivers within the respective area and in line with the agreed KPIs.
- Be accountable for overseeing the Delivery Points for their respective area, ensuring brand compliance, service levels are maintained with the Service Partners.
- Be the key point of contact for drivers within the respective area and be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive and seamless onboarding and induction is in place to maximise understanding of the role and ensure retention.
- Reduce churn by understanding the reasons behind this and creating a strategy to target the depots that require support.
- Provide professional advice on the contractual process between DPD and its third party suppliers.
About You: You must be able to evidence a successful track record in partnership management and conflict resolution, ideally within the distribution or similarly related industry. You will be comfortable operating in an environment where working efficiently under pressure and at pace is critical. Be a strong negotiator with the ability to influence both upward and downward. Your strong communications skills, both written and verbal, coupled with your strong organisational, decisive decision-making, and problem-solving skills will enable you to succeed in this role. High levels of resilience, self-motivation, flexibility and the ability to work on your own initiative are key attributes needed in this role. Be extremely driven to drive change in culture, and champion the scheme within the Network. Strong presentation skills are essential.
Due to the nature of this role, where all aspects of the service we deliver to our customers is monitored, it is necessary for you to have good levels of computer literacy but also the ability to analyse data and take action accordingly. Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability. A full clean driving licence is essential as is a flexible approach to travel and overnight stays.
