Our Network Engineering Manager is recruiting an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Network Sortation Engineer) to strengthen our existing team and deliver outstanding service to our Network of Depots across South East and London.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to breakdowns with extensive fault finding (electrical and mechanical)
  • Complete ad‑hoc job requests for repairs on all sortation equipment
  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance of sortation equipment
  • Perform servicing work, including completion of service reports and internal systems updates
  • Use SCADA systems to aid fault finding of all sortation systems
  • Liaise with other departments (Security, Operations, IT) regarding maintenance and repair work in line with business and operational requirements
  • Adhere to and promote health & safety policies (including COSHH)
  • Work night shifts on a Panama pattern (Days 7am‑7pm, Nights 8pm‑8am)

Qualifications

  • Recognised engineering, maintenance engineering or general engineering apprenticeship or an appropriate engineering qualification (HND/HNC) with an Electrical bias
  • Comfortable working autonomously and self‑managing to deliver an effective and timely service
  • Experience in a fast‑paced automated environment with demonstrable electrical and mechanical repair experience
  • Experience repairing and servicing conveyor systems
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, able to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints
  • High levels of resilience, self‑motivation and flexibility
  • Strong team player with a 'can do' mentality
  • Demonstrate core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability
  • Full UK driving licence (required for travel between depots)
