Job Description Purpose of Position
As a Transport Clerk you will be part of the Traffic office team and are responsible for tracking our transport routes ensuring that our HGV drivers have arrived for duties and that trailers will arrive at our Hub sites as planned.
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility
- Working with other departments such as Hub and Network Operations, Transport and Security ensuring that updates on arrivals or any issues are communicated as quickly as possible in order to keep our operation running smoothly
- Completing licence checks for agency drivers and ensuring we remain compliant in line with O Licence Regulations
- General administrative duties such as answering telephone queries, printing route paperwork and maps
- Issuing routes to drivers
- Assisting the Transport Shift Managers and Operations Managers with any further administration
- To undertake comprehensive reporting and data analysis

- Intermediate Google Workspace knowledge: GMail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.
- Knowledge of Microlise and C3 Yard management systems desired
