Job Description

To strategically lead, define, and execute the business transformation agenda across the entire organisation, focusing on doing the right things for customers and colleagues while driving significant, measurable improvements in operational performance, customer experience, and strategic growth. This role translates the company's vision into a cohesive, managed portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring successful realisation of benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Transformation Strategy & Roadmap: Design, own, and continually refine the end‑to‑end transformation roadmap in partnership with the Strategy & Transformation Director and executive stakeholders.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the Transformation Management Office function, ensuring robust governance, reporting, risk management and resource allocation across all major change initiatives.
  • Delivery Leadership: Directly manage the team of Transformation Office Manager, five Programme Managers and Change Lead, providing leadership, direction and coaching to ensure high‑quality delivery of complex, multi‑year programmes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface between the transformation team and Executive Leadership, ensuring clear, consistent communication regarding programme status, risks and benefits realisation.
  • Financial & Benefits Tracking: Rigorously manage the transformation budget and establish frameworks for tracking, validating and reporting the financial and non‑financial benefits delivered by the transformation portfolio.
  • Change & Cultural Adoption: Champion effective change management strategies to ensure new processes, technologies and operating models are adopted and embedded successfully across the organisation.
  • Cultural Leadership: Foster a proactive, continuous improvement culture that embraces change and strategic thinking across the business.
  • Customer & Colleague Focus: Ensure all transformation initiatives are designed and executed with a primary focus on doing the right things for customers and colleagues.
  • Strategic Input: Contribute to the broader organisational strategy, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on strategic planning and execution challenges.
  • Industry Expertise: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry best practices, methodologies and technologies in organisational change and programme delivery.
  • Third‑Party Management: Manage supplier relationships and external consultants engaged in transformation activities.

Health & Safety responsibilities

  • Monitor Health & Safety performance for their area of responsibility
  • Support Directors to achieve a positive Health and Safety Culture encouraging and supporting continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with the Health and Safety Team to ensure statutory obligations are met within the organisation
  • Follow emergency response procedures, liaising with authorities where required for incident investigations

Remuneration and Benefits

Package: circa £119,000 per annum. Options include a £12,700 car allowance or company car and a 34% bonus. The package includes basic salary, the choice of a company car or cash alternative, an attractive bonus scheme based on individual and company targets and Private Medical Insurance.
