Our International Commercial Finance Manager is recruiting an ambitious Commercial Data Analyst to work within the International Operations Department (IOD) based at Oldbury, B69 4DA. As part of DPD International Operations, you will provide analysis and support to the DPD Group UK business in International Operations and Commercial Insight.
Your role will include:
- Proactive resolution of service performance issues using cause analysis reports and liaison with other departments to improve the DPD Classic service
- Ensure all operational procedures are implemented and adhered to, in line with the development of International products
- Conduct trend analysis on escalations related to DPD Classic service quality and non‑compliance, and submit resolution reports
- Communicate changes to DPD Classic operational procedures that could affect customer deliveries
- Assist with presentations to International clients, Senior Management Team and internal departments, and attend relevant meetings
- Undertake specific projects, working groups or other duties requested by International management to develop or enhance the international service offering
- Provide recommendations for customer experience improvements on the DPD Classic service to stakeholders
- Monitor DPD Classic vehicle fill rates and utilisation to ensure correct capacity planning
- Liaise with the Road Service Team and DPD Group stakeholders to review operational trends that can drive change and achieve Road Service KPIs
- Deliver on‑time analytical and commercial decision support to the International Commercial Finance Manager and other stakeholders
- Support the International Commercial Finance Manager in meeting department deadlines and completing management reports on time
- Review supplier commercial rates quarterly and highlight potential savings
- Lead in providing on‑time analytical, commercial and decision support information to budget holders
- Report key customer contribution figures with additional commercial insight
- Monitor weekly customer trends and contribute to the forecast process
- Propose solutions to reduce time spent on transactional processes
- Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
- Investigate cost‑saving ideas with IOD teams and present to the International Commercial Finance Manager
- Work closely with IOD Managers to ensure accurate costing and pricing of bespoke commercial solutions
- Generate new analysis and reporting to improve profits, save money, or enhance service
- Network proactively in other departments to understand their functions and impact on the commercial department
- Collaborate with other Analysts in the IOD on joint projects to add value
- Contribute to the reconciliation and review of customer or destination margins with key commercial insight
- Effectively price operational bespoke solutions for key customers and understand the impact on the business
- Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reporting of financial information to support operational decisions
