Due to continued growth we are recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated HGV/LGV Workshop Technician/Mechanic to join our thriving business. This role, which is based at our site in Oldbury, will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of the UK's leading parcel delivery business.

This role will be working days covering a continental shift pattern of 4 on 4 off on days 06.40 – 19:00.

Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and maintaining DPD’s fleet of approximately 1500 Mercedes Benz tractor units and 2700 trailers.
  • Fault Diagnostics on vehicles.
  • MOT Preparation for the vehicles.
  • Weekly/monthly checks of HGV vehicles.
  • Mechanical and Electrical repairs on vehicles.
Qualifications:
  • Experience within a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role, or knowledge of yellow goods repairs.
  • Ideally Level 3 trained in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served technician.
  • Knowledge of Mercedes, DAF, Dennis, Volvo and Renault vehicles.

  • IRTECH licence qualification advantageous but not essential, as further accreditation can be provided.
